The golden chalice with a winged dragon emerging detail, is a rare visual reference from Jacopo Varagine’s Golden Legend (Middle Ages popular religious work):
The priest of the temple of Diana in Ephesus asked John to show the power of his faith by drinking poison. The priest had two prisoners drink from the chalice first, both of whom died on the spot. Not only was John immune to the effects of the poison but, after drinking it, he also resuscitated the two dead prisoners. The depiction of the chalice and the dragon became the symbol of the contraposition between the Church and Satan.

“This megalithic statue is called langkebulawa bay the local people. It means gold anklet. The term shows that the statue is considered to be the statue of a queen. It was found in the village Bomba, South Lore, Poso and was used in ancestor worship. It is 176 cm high: its face is 96 cm long and 64 cm wide; its shoulders are 68 cm wide. The statue faces west and was still found in situ. It depicts a woman with round eyes, flat nose and pro- truding forehead. On its head is a headband called tali bonto. Its hands are directed to- wards its genitals with the fingers splayed open. Not far from where it stands, a stone slab was found which probably functioned as a place for offerings in ceremonies.”
